Even during the mid eighties when windmills were hardly considered a viable renewable energy option, Mr.J.Rajasegar , an electrical engineer from TNEB assigned to represent TNEB in the installation and running of the 1st batch of wind turbines imported from Denmark to India, fully absorbed the potential in this industry. He went on to acquire complete knowledge of windmills and his training in Denmark added on to his expertise. So was born RS Windtech Engineers in 1996, a bold, first of its kind private player in windmill service providing. The company gained from strength to strength and has become a popular destination for services like erection and Installation ,Operation and Maintanence of windmills etc., by Global windmill biggies such as Vestas, GE ,Suzlon, & Gamesa to name a few. With the hectic vertical acceleration, the company has acquired all the requisites such as, workshop, electronics lab and crane fleet to offer multispecialty windmill services under the roof of RS Windtech Engineers.

He has put in place an energetic team of engineers & technicians with hardcore 'hands on' experience. Clearly the journey is still on under the foot prints of Mr.J.Rajasegar. The ambitions and the 'ready to roll out' plans have only got bigger. The company is now looking to enlarge its business in foreign markets. Preliminary negotiations are already under way.

The Company is in consultation with Technical Advisory agencies of the Government, WTG manufacturers and wind farm owners to study feasibility and arrive at profitable options for interested clients in repowering / intercropping of their wind parks with higher capacity turbines. Vigorously sourcing critical windmill spares from the international market to make available to clients at lesser cost and short notice.
